Brittany Ferries fleet

Armorique

Launched in 2009, this 168m long ship is manned with 120 crew members. She can accomodate 1500 passengers and 470 vehicles. With a power of 24,000kW, her sailing speed is 23 knots.

Barfleur

Launched in 1999, this 158m long ship is manned with 57 crew members. She can accomodate 1,200 passengers, 590 vehicles and 75 trailers. With a power of 11,990kW, her sailing speed is 19,5 knots.

Pont-Aven

185 crew members sail on routes between France, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain. The Pont-Aven is 183 metres long and can carry up to 2,415 passengers, 650 vehicles and 85 freight vehicles.

Cotentin

She has been sailing on the Rosslare (IRL) - Cherbourg (FR) route since 2021. With a length of 167m, she can carry up to 43 crew members, 200 passengers and 120 freight vehicles. She has a power output of 21,600 kW and a speed of 23 knots.

Mont St Michel

The Mont St Michel travels between Caen and Portsmouth. She is 173 metres long and has a capacity of 123 crew members, 2,120 passengers, 830 vehicles and 118 freight vehicles. She has a power output of 21,600 kW and a speed of 21 knots.

Guillaume de Normandie

She entered service in April 2025 between Caen and Portsmouth. This hybrid vessel is the latest addition to a fleet of more eco-friendly ships. She have a crew of 100 and is able to carry up to 1,310 passengers, 470 vehicles and 120 freight vehicles. She has a power output of 24,480 kW and a speed of 23 knots.

Saint-Malo

Newly commissioned in early 2025, the Saint-Malo is Europe's first hybrid ferry. 110 crew members work aboard this 194-metre-long vessel, which operates between Saint-Malo and Portsmouth. She can carry up to 1,290 passengers, 550 vehicles and 63 freight vehicles. She has a power output of 27,480 kW and a speed of 23 knots.

New hybrid ships, new technologies for more environmentally friendly trips

Galicia

Measuring 214 metres in length, the Galicia sails between Cherbourg, Portsmouth and Bilbao. Her 85 crew members can accommodate up to 1,015 passengers, 550 vehicles and 155 freight vehicles. The ship has a power output of 25,200 kW and a speed of 22 knots.

Santoña

Commissioned in 2023, she is deployed on routes connecting the United Kingdom, Spain and France. Measuring 214 metres in length, she can accommodate 85 crew members, 1,015 passengers, 550 vehicles and 155 freight vehicles. She has a length of 214 metres, a power output of 27,480 kW and a speed of 23 knots.

Salamanca

Commissioned in 2022 on routes connecting the United Kingdom, Spain and France, she is Brittany Ferries' first ship and also the first French-flagged ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). She has a capacity of 85 crew members, 1,015 passengers, 550 vehicles and 155 freight vehicles. She is 214 metres long, has a power output of 25,200 kW and a speed of 22 knots.

Islander

The Islander travels between Portsmouth and Guernsey. At 124.9 metres long, she can carry 400 passengers and 1,248 metres of vehicles. She entered service in 2005 and has a service speed of 18 knots.

Clipper

Commissioned in 1999, she is deployed in Portsmouth, Le Havre, Cherbourg and Rosslare. With a length of 129.14 metres, she can carry 38 crew members, 500 passengers, 279 vehicles or 92 12-metre trailers. Her speed is 18 knots.

Voyager

This high-speed catamaran can carry up to 850 passengers and 235 cars at a speed of 42 knots. She connects Saint Malo and Guernsey daily.
