As an A/B seaman at Brittany Ferries, you have a key role within the deck crew. Safety compliance, ship maintenance, berthing and unberthing manoeuvres are among your main missions. Adaptable and rigorous, you contribute to smooth commercial operations and customer experience.  

 

Missions

Within the deck department, you : 

  • Perform bridge watch as a lookout, helmsman and patrolman,
  • Participate in embarkation and disembarkation operations, berthing and unberthing manoeuvres,
  • Contribute to ship maintenance by keeping decks superstructures and garages,
  • Apply safety measures and participate of the implementation of the emergency plan.

Profile

  • A first experience as a deckhand is necessary to join us,
  • You are dynamic, rigorous and autonomous.

It is compulsory to hold the following valid certificates :

  • Mininum Deck Watch Rating Certificate
  • Basic Safety Training
  • Certificate of Proficiency in Liferafts and Rescue Boats
  • Security Awareness Certificate

Chez Brittany Ferries, le processus de recrutement est adapté au poste pour lequel le candidat a postulé. Certains postes peuvent avoir des exigences spécifiques.

Dans un premier temps, nous vous contacterons pour vous présenter le poste pour lequel vous avez postulé et mieux vous connaître. Dans un second temps, un entretien sera organisé avec un membre du service des ressources humaines et/ou un représentant du poste concerné.
